Overview of  Procurement Management (Cost Centers)

This section allows the procurement user to manage cost centers. The user must have the 'Procurement' role set to add, delete a cost center and to assign a user to a cost center. Procurement users can perform the following actions:

  • View a list of cost centers

  • Add a new cost center by entering a unique cost center name in the region.

  • Remove cost center

  • Change cost center name properties. Update its name or modify its approval route or assign/unassign users to a cost center

  • Assign and Unassign user to a cost center

  • For all organizations that do not use cost centers on an organization level we’ll provide a ‘default’ cost center for each organization and assign that cost center to all users within that organization

  • Management of Approval Flows (Coming Soon) 
  • Management of Project Codes (Coming Soon


How to Add/Create a Cost Center:

  • On the cost centers screen, click Create Cost Center

  • Enter the required information in the appropriate field

  • Optional: select the defined approval route (if any) and final approver(s)

  • Click Save to save the location or Save & Manage Users to assign users to the new cost center

*Important Note: The cost center name must be unique within the region of that Organization

 

How to Manage Users for the Created Cost Center(s):

There are two ways to access the page:

  1. On the Cost centers page, hover on the cost center you wish to assign that cost center to user(s), click Manage:


  1.  When you are on the Create or Edit Cost Center page and select Save & Manage Users button

 

How to Assign/Unassign Users to Cost Centers:

  • To assign, simply click on the Plus icon

  • To unassign, click on the Check icon

Submit the form by clicking on Save

 

How to Edit Cost Centers: 

 

  • Find the cost center you want to edit

  • Hover on that cost center and click Pencil icon

 

How to Remove a Cost Center: 

  • Find the cost center you want to remove

  • Hover on that cost center and click Trash icon

  

  • Click Confirm to delete that cost center



*Important Note: An organization has to have at least 1 Cost Center tied to their organization, therefore the last cost center cannot be deleted.
